.. when you stick your face up against the locked doors of a Hockey arena
.. the boys and I were enthusiastically exploring the outside of the HP Pavilion while Puck bought tickets for tomorrow nights game. When the door opened and a man said, "you are not from around here are you?"
"No, we are from Vancouver Island ... "
"Well when you are done buy tickets come back here and I'll give you a tour."
We could not have ordered a tour this fabulous
We also sat on the Zamboni, the home bench, walked on the ice ... etc etc ..

oh you peeps, this is just amazing:) sounds like you might just be having a smidgeon of good times:) loving keeping up with the adventure.
ps we've had a couple of amazing, sunny days - 12C the van says. how is your weather?
the weather has been 12 degrees with rain .. and thunderstorms !
it is all good though .. heavy rain here means for moments at a time ... as opposed to hours on end .. we have still been able to get out and enjoy local parks and are having a blast
