We have been waiting weeks for our turn to play chess on the giant chess board. Every time we end up there seems to be on a weekend with a rather large number of people wanting to play. Finally we remembered to go during the week, hoping folks were too busy making money to play chess.
And we finally got our turn !!
After loosing I had to pay up ..

Ahhh, looks like fun. My most intense period of playing chess was sitting at an outdoor table at The Napoleon House in New Orleans' French Quarter in the evening with my college pal Bob. Our openings were strong but after an evening of drinking, eating, drinking, watching cute girls walk by, and drinking, our endgame skills were not so sharp.
