Here's how a couple of Unschoolers kick off not back to school week!

We blew up Ziploc bags using Vinegar and baking soda ... after reading in a book about the discovery of gunpowder an interest started when exploding caps by dropping rocks on them.






Next up, "we are chef's and we are making cookies. You can't help us mom!"

An Update (for Craig)

The summer has continued to be sunny, dry and FULL OF ADVENTURE!


Makinley finished Medical School






















We visited a Winery, where the boys discovered rolling down hills was much cooler then wine tasting and Puck forced me to indulge in wine, in the middle of the day ;)




































Kin turned Five in a humbling display of gratitude.







































And in honor of Patrick and Spongebob, we went Jellyfishing with Cooper and Brody.

Summer Happenings

The summer is whipping by or more likely so full of outdoor adventures, that I haven't had much time to update things here!

Here goes a whirlwind tour of our summer adventures!

We took the LONG drive to Rathtrevor, to reconnect with some friends from Victoria for a two night camping adventures. There was dancing, grooming, laughter and turn taking on the extraordinary yellow bike!

















































































And I believe there was a spotting of a female sasquatch.

The river has been a new found adventuring spot .. swimming, fishing and combating!







And the huge huge huge highlight of RU FUN!

There was the adorable Miss Gabriella, who blessed us all with the freshness of her arrival to our tribe. Mom and dad were ever so gracious allowing each of us our turn to adore her.




There were new friends to be made, while other connections deepened.





There was a WHOLE LOT of meat to be eaten (and yes each of the wieners was individually wrapped and required peeling).






Not to worry though, there was equally as much FRUIT to wash the meat down with!




There were FUN shops, trampoline escapades and an abundance of laughter and lovin!

Jar Jar Binks

You simply never know what treasures you will uncover at the Thrift Store. Imagine the looks on people's faces when I travel with this as my co-pilot (especially noting we have a right hand drive vehicle).

Costumes

There has been much switching of costumes and identities as of late (okay it goes on all the time around here, I just happened to collect a series of photos that I thought would fit this topic well).


Here we have the famous, Indian Jones and his less well known side kick Fred. It all started, when Indy set out to find the Idol, catching a lift in the Mystery Machine.














There was the oversized Spider Puck found hiding amongst his underwear.












And the girl disguises, that's what happens when your ship crashes and lands in "Girly Land"
